We had one of the yummiest Thanksgiving dinners this year. Amy saw a Food Network show from Anne Burell where she put a Turkey in a salt water brine overnight and then roasted it the next morning. We stuck ours in an Igloo cooler in the garage overnight.
Then Amy prepared some kind of an herb-butter rubb and coated the turkey in it before we roasted it.
Then we basted it every half an hour with the butter-herb and roasted vegetable broth at the bottom of the roasting pan while it cooked.
Here's the FINAL version and it was so nice and juicy. Even the leftovers we kept eating were just SOO good.
Then we took another recipe from the Food Network site for Sausage and Apple stuffing. It was really good but I picked the "Spicy Italian" Colossimo's sausage and I think next year I'll just go with medium. It gave you a little bite at the back of your throat after you ate it.
For dessert Caleb had Rootbeer and the Ginger bread house... oh and a lot of Pumpking pie:)
